Who We Are

Gumat Chen was established in 2001 with the aim of initiating and operating social-educational frameworks that promote populations at risk and absorb Aliyah, making maximum use of the support of the community infrastructure of Kibbutz Sa'ad for the benefit of the programs. As of 2019, 'Gumat Chen' is running and implementing one main project: a therapeutic boarding school for girls at risk. The organization's staff includes 17 employees and 8 volunteers.

What We Do

The Gumat Boarding School for girls, officially recognized by the Ministry of Education as a therapeutic boarding school, is a warm home and a unique therapeutic space for girls from religious homes aged 14-18 from all around Israel. From the onset of the school, there have been about 180 girls at risk who resided and were educated at the boarding school. Currently, in 2019, there are 47 girls who are living at Gumat, receiving the support and education provided by the boarding school.
